1 ball Ecru DMC Perle Coton size 8 (or Anchor #926)
1 package 2.5mm Creme Round SJ Designs Pearls
1 package 3x6mm Creme Oval SJ Designs Pearls
1 package #557 Gold SJ Designs Heirloom Beads
7 pieces 1/16” wide double-faced satin ribbon,* each one cut 7” (17.5cm) long: 1 each #305 Light Blue, #355 Skipper Blue, #463 Grape, #530 Mint, #587 Forest Green and 2 pieces #447 Iris (these color numbers are for Offray brand ribbon, but see the ribbon note on page 4 for more information).
“Invisible” clear nylon sewing thread (optional but highly recommended to attach the pearls and beads without showing through the open canvas).
Zweigart Sandstone #18 mono canvas, cut 9” by 18” (22.5 by 45cm) was used for the framed picture. Brown canvas is also lovely. 18 count Wichelt natural brown linen was used for the bellpull, also cut 9” by 18”. Do not substitute 36-count linen since this sampler is designed to be worked over one thread of the fabric, and the ribbons and pearls will be too large in proportion to the stitches on a finer count fabric.
