1892 Old Italian Patterns for Linen Embroidery (1996 reprint folio by Kathleen Epstein)

Beautiful reproduction of the 19th century original, Frieda Lipperheide’s extensive collection of old Italian counted thread embroidery patterns, mostly traditional cross stitch with some interesting Assisi designs.

This folio includes the original text translated from the German by Kathleen Epstein, and published by Curious Works Press, Austin TX in 1996. The original compilation of these patterns was published by Frieda Lipperheide in 1892. The patterns are remarkably detailed and include very large borders and motifs.

This is a meticulous recreation of the antique presentation: heavy cardstock for the 30 individual pattern sheets plus included booklets, all cased in a hardcover folio. Like new condition with ribbon ties!
