1/4 skein (5 yards) Overdyed Floss– Needle Necessities #178 Coventry Gardens or ThreadworX #11311 Summer Flowers. Overdyes with subtle shading or variations are more suitable than those with very extreme color changes.
1 ball Ecru DMC Perle Cotton size 8 (or Anchor #926)
1 package 2.5mm Creme Round SJ Designs Faux Pearls
1 package 3x6mm Creme Pear-shape SJ Designs Faux Pearls (5 pearls are used)
1 package #786 Lavender-lined Crystal A/B Toho 11/0 Treasure (cylinder) Beads
7 pieces 1/16” wide double-faced satin ribbon,* each one cut 7” (17.5cm) long: 1 each Rosy Mauve, Light Blue, Grape, Moss and 3 pieces of Iris. Kreinik 1/16” metallic ribbon, Ribbonfloss or 2mm silk ribbon could be substituted.
“Invisible” clear nylon sewing thread (optional but highly recommended to attach the pearls and beads without showing through the open canvas).
Zweigart Sandstone #18 mono canvas, cut 9” by 18” (22.5 by 45cm) was used for the framed picture. Brown canvas is also a lovely option.
