Gingerbread Christmas


20 page softcover booklet with charts, stitch diagrams and closeup color photos of details. The stitch count of Gingerbread Christmas is 140 by 140, for a finished size of approximately 8-1/2 inches round when worked on #18 canvas. Materials used are listed below.


*White DMC Perle 8 or for a sparkling substitute, try Kreinik Fine (#8) metallic Braid color #032 Pearl (you’ll need five, 11m reels of the #8 Braid)
*1 skein each #704 Light Green, #701 Medium Green and #699 Dark Green DMC Perle 5 (or Anchor colors 240, 227 and 923) or three shades of green in the color family of your choice
*1 skein Needle Necessities Overdyed French Wool #24 Seal Brown or ThreadworX Overdyed Merino Wool  #W82 Brown Sugar & Spice
*1/2 skein Needle Necessities Overdyed French Wool #11 Overcast Blue or ThreadworX Overdyed Merino Wool #W64 Cloudy Skies
*2 yards each SJ Designs Reverie in Bright Red and Bright Green. As a substitute, you can use any 1/8″ wide metallic or rayon ribbon-like yarn.
*1skein each DMC Floss #801 Brown (or Anchor color #360) and #414 Grey (or Anchor color #399)
*3 yards Kreinik Blending Filament in color #001 Silver
*1 package SJ Designs Size 11/0 Glass Seed Beads #05 White or SJ Designs 2mm Round Faux Pearls in White (Designer’s Note: Seed beads were used in the model but if I were stitching this design today, I’d use Pearls instead!)
*Zweigart Brown #18 deluxe mono canvas, cut 12 by 12 inches square.  Designer’s Note: French Blue (light antique blue), Leventeen Blue (deep navy) or Sandstone (golden tan) colored canvas would also be excellent choices. 19-count linen can be used instead.
