c1880 tiny carved bone lace-making clamp & 2 tools

$38.00

Antique tiny hand carved bone clamp used for lace making plus two lace tools also carved of bone (cow or ox), circa the late 19th century. Clamp measure 1″ across and about 2″ high with the screw fully extended; plain bone tool is about 3″ long and the tool with pronged ends is 2-1/4″ long, both are about 1/8″ wide.

The top of the clamp has two empty holes– a decorative finial would have been screwed into the front hole. In good condition otherwise with expected age wear and a few tiny “flea bite” chips. Possibly the work of a sailor or an inmate.
