A Victorian Berlinwork Pattern Plate vol. 2
Part of my new Private Collection series, this leaflet features a reproduction of a large color pattern plate from 19th century Germany. Berlinwork (or Berlin Woolwork) patterns are noted for lush florals, geometric repeats and borders, fanciful animals and scenic motifs. The originals were hand-painted onto graph paper and delighted Victorian stitchers with their vivid colors, to be reproduced in wool and accented with beads. Since these are charted designs, they are perfect for needlepoint, counted cross stitch and beadwork.
A VICTORIAN BERLINWORK PATTERN PLATE VOL. 2 is a 4 page full-color leaflet, printed on glossy cardstock. The 11×17 inside is an oversized reproduction of the original antique Berlinwork pattern sheet.
