8 antique damask napkins w/ embroidered monogram 22″ square

$55.00

Eight, 22″ square damask napkins (some are closer to 21″ by 22″), purported to have been brought to America in the 1920s or 30s from Ireland as part of a bridal trousseau. Narrow hem on two sides, fabric selvedge on the other two sides with a heavily textured 3-letter monogram at the center.

The fabric feels like linen but it may be a blend with some cotton and the damask has some rustic texture rather than being smooth. The finely worked monogram is about 1-1/2″ high, and appears to be EPB.

Set of 8 in excellent condition, sturdy enough for daily use and frequent washing. I’ve soaked and hand washed them, then allowed each to dry flat so there are a few wrinkles but they are ready to use and enjoy.
