1970s large Suzani embroidery on red 56″ by 84″

Vintage 1970s traditional Suzani wool embroidery with brilliant colors on red silk fabric, 56″ by 84″ (shown on a queen bed). There are numerous areas where lines drawn for the embroidery are clearly visible as they were not stitched over. Fabric backing and the thick, textured stitching are in good condition with minor wear. One edge has decorative banding and small loops (could be used for hanging), another has red twisted fringe.

This would be a stunning decorative bed covering, or a decorative wall hanging or there is plenty of usable fabric to repurpose as upholstery or pillow coverings. Last photo is an example of a chair upholstered with a similar vintage Suzani.
