1950s hand embroidered quilted coverlet with orange & yellow poppies

Lovely handmade vintage quilt or coverlet from the 1950s in new, unused condition– exceptionally nice workmanship and condition. Nice rich colors on a winter white background, cotton embroidery floss on cotton fabric.

The quilt is very lightweight with little or no batting (sometimes called “summer weight”) and measures 80″ wide by 95″ long. The squares are about 15″ and the border about 14″.

It’s in exceptional condition, clean and bright – I’m quite sure it has never been used– and has been washed by hand. It’s sturdy enough to machine wash on a gentle cycle. This will require a signature at delivery and insurance is included in the price.
