1931 Cross Stitch Embroidery book
This collection of charming designs for counted cross stitch and needlepoint date from the early 20th century and include motifs and borders created to embellish home decor and children’s clothing. Projects shown include a drawstring bag, baby bibs, place mats and napkins, curtains and a small luncheon tablecloth.
The 2-color charts use whole stitches, making them suitable for other techniques including beadwork and crochet. Four complete alphabets (the 2-letter monograms are created from two different letter styles, which can be used individually) and a set of numbers round out the selection of borders, nursery animals and geometric patterns, with nearly 100 designs in all.
