1930s small lacquered and painted box made in Japan

Small antique 2-drawer box with hand painted designs over a black lacquer finish– it’s the perfect size to hold packages of needles! Inside of drawers measures 2-1/4 by 3-3/4 inches (Kreinik spools will also fit). Each drawer has a tiny metal handle.

Overall the box measures 4 inches deep by 6 inches wide and 1-1/2 inches high. It has hand painted floral designs painted black lacquer. Structurally the box is in good condition, but most corners are chipped (it’s not as noticeable in real life, the closeups make the damage look worse).
