1920s flapper-style pair of satin boudoir pillow covers

Original price was: $20.00.Current price is: $9.99.

Glamorous pair of 1920s flapper-style satin boudoir pillow covers in shades of peach and periwinkle. Definitely homemade/handmade by a skilled needlewoman and in excellent shape. Shiny acetate satin fabric is pieced in the classic Log Cabin patchwork pattern and backed with a lighter weight fabric, one side is left open for a pillow form to be inserted and the fabric edges folded under and slip stitched closed. Finished up as pillows, the size will be about 16″ square.

The mix of fabrics is interesting– the peach fabric used for the strips on the front is a slightly different shade (muted apricot-peach) than the lighter, more pinkish-peach fabric on the back and the center squares are a shinier, brighter blue violet than the strips. These are sturdy enough to wash and use regularly, although I’d recommend hand washing and allowing to air dry.
