1860s Berlin Work stitch, pattern & beadwork sampler over 6 feet long

Remarkably vibrant 19th century Berlin Work collection of stitches and needlepoint patterns on a 6+ foot long roll of canvas! Worked with wool and silk threads with accents of metallic thread on fine cotton canvas with about 15 threads per inch. It includes colorful examples of Bargello patterns, classic Berlin Work charted geometrics, textured stitches and portions are solidly stitched with glass beads.

9-1/4 inches wide by 80 inches long (6 feet, 8 inches). Edges are bound with dark red fabric, and the piece is backed with the same fabric.

Excellent condition overall, color retention is very good. Some small spots of loss to wool stitches, canvas and fabric backing are very sturdy.
