1860s beaded Berlin Work Jacobean floral tea tray needlepoint cover

19th century beaded needlepoint canvas in a classic Jacobean floral. Bead colors are rich and vivid in a variety of finishes. 8-1/2″ wide by 21″ long. This would have been stretched over a thick, padded oval board with little feet and used as a tea tray or trivet to protect the table from the heat of the kettle.

Condition is generally good, still quite sturdy. Some small areas of bead loss, but the double mesh canvas is in good condition and could be re-stitched.
