Heirloom Lace Sampler

A sampler with the look of antique lace over velvet, using only basic stitches and threads on #18 canvas.  The Heirloom Lace Sampler was worked with white perle coton sizes 8 and 12 plus two shades of dark gray floss and Heirloom bead accents on black #18 canvas; other color suggestions are offered in the booklet.  The finished size is approximately 7×19-1/2 inches.

This design is advanced-level stitching only in terms of the sheer amount of work involved; the stitches and techniques are actually quite simple, and the booklet contains 24 pages of color charts to guide you through each layer of work.
